Description

CHARACTERISTICS

Poligum Ultra is an integrated, water-based waterproofing system consisting of a liquid component (A) based on an aqueous dispersion of polymers and additives, and a powder component (B) based on reactive fillers.
When applied to horizontal or vertical surfaces, after curing, Poligum Ultra forms a cement-colored membrane with excellent water resistance and elasticity, suitable for outdoor waterproofing applications.
The membrane formed by Poligum Ultra is resistant to solar radiation (infrared, IR, and ultraviolet, UV), resistant to driving rain, and suitable for protecting surfaces exposed to weathering and standing water. Poligum Ultra is also suitable for cold climates (down to –20°C).

APPLICATION FIELDS

On surfaces such as terraces or balconies, properly apply Plast Band sealing tape to corners and joints using Poligum Ultra or Flex Top 100. Then proceed with the first application of Poligum Ultra using a roller and brush, and apply a suitable reinforcing fabric, taking care to press it down with a dry roller or spatula to ensure good adhesion. Allow approximately 24 hours to dry; proceed with the second application using a roller or brush, ensuring that the previously applied reinforcing fabric and sealing tape are completely covered, and wait another 24 hours; proceed with the third application, ensuring that the treated surface is covered with a generous layer of product.

On surfaces where there are no significant water infiltration problems, two crosswise coats may be applied, allowing 24 hours between applications.

PREPARATION

Surface Preparation
Substrates must be sound, dry, fully cured, structurally stable, and free from dust, grease, oils, and efflorescence; damaged areas must be removed and repaired where necessary.

On slightly unstable surfaces and old bituminous membranes, it is advisable to apply 1 or 2 coats of Albusil Consolidante; on existing surfaces such as glazed ceramic tiles, it is recommended to grind the surface using a diamond grinding wheel and apply 1 coat of Albusil Consolidante; on existing surfaces such as cement tiles and concrete bricks, it is recommended to remove all traces of mold or dirt and apply 1 coat of Rasogress Plus.

Mix Preparation
Pour the powder “component B” into the container holding the liquid “component A” and mix using a low-speed electric drill mixer until a smooth, fluid, lump-free mixture is obtained; avoid incorporating air into the mixture during mixing; allow the mixed product to rest for approximately 5 minutes and briefly remix; do not add water, aggregates, or cement to the product.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Waterproofing and protection of balconies, terraces, roofs, swimming pools, and earth-retaining walls, carried out using Poligum Ultra by Plastimur S.r.l., a highly flexible, two-component cementitious waterproofing membrane based on cement, selected aggregates, special additives, and synthetic polymers; application in two or three coats using a roller and brush, placing a reinforcing fabric between the first and second layers on the surface to be treated; allow 4–5 days of curing before installing ceramic tile coverings using Flex Top 100 or Flex Ultra.
